The Difficult Job of Police Officers
Our police officers have one of the most difficult and dangerous jobs in our society. The decisions they must make and the stressors they encounter on a daily basis weigh heavily upon their shoulders. Statistics show that the stress our police officers face throughout the course of their career leads to a significantly shorter lifespan than that of the rest of our society. Often, the split-second decisions they make followed by their quick actions can mean the difference between life and death.
Today, the job of our police officers is more dangerous than ever. As we speak, cowardly criminals living and hiding among us are ambushing and murdering our police officers in numbers throughout our nation. This, coupled with the recent protests and attacks by hate groups toward our nation’s police officers, which has been widely publicized by the media have taken a heavy toll on our police.
Who Are We?
Hometown Guardians is an organization founded by local police officers. We are your sons and daughters; your mothers and fathers; and your brothers and sisters. We are your friends and neighbors; your child’s sports coaches and scout leaders. We are the people sitting next to you at school PTO meetings. We are the people praying next to you in church on Sunday, and the people standing next to you in the checkout line at the grocery store. We are very much a part of the same community in which we serve.
Our mission is to promote public support for our police officers from the communities in which they protect and serve, thereby strengthening bonds between police and their communities. With the support of our community we will honor fallen officers by offering aid to the families they left behind. With the support of our community we will boost the morale of our police officers by letting them know that we are still a nation of law abiding citizens, who stand behind them in their courageous effort. We plan to accomplish our mission through the sale of thin blue line products. A portion of thin blue line products sales will be donated back to the law enforcement community, and the communities in which they serve – churches, schools, sports programs and more.
Charities We Support
We donate a portion of the proceeds from our sales to the law enforcement community. We have chosen to donate a percentage of Hometown Guardian product sales to Concerns of Police Survivors “C.O.P.S.” and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund “NLEOMF”. Both organizations offer support to the families of officers, who were killed in the line of duty. Additionally, a portion of all American flag product sales will be donated to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund – a charitable organization that offers support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans.
Message From our Founder
“This site is dedicated to all the men and women, who place their lives on the line every day to protect those who cannot protect themselves. We honor those who have paid the ultimate price, while serving their hometowns, and their country. Godspeed.”
